NEWBUILDING INSPECTION AND OVERSEEING
To ensure that our client will take delivery of a properly constructed vessel which conforms to the agreed specifications and drawings we will periodically attend during the build. Reports are sent to the client following each visit and any defects and omissions found will be identified for subsequent rectification. As the owners' technical representative we will attend to any matters arising during build which require resolution. We will coincide visits with stage payments due to ensure payments are made only when the due work has been completed.

ANNUAL REFITS
DMC&A carries out annual surveys on many yachts, ensuring for owners that items requiring attention are not neglected and that the vessel is maintained on a systematic basis to good standard year by year. This ensures that the vessel's value maintained at the best level.

MCA CODES OF PRACTICE COMPLIANCE SURVEYS
As Code Surveyors of the YBDSA Certifying Authority we carry out certification under the various MCA Codes of Practice for Motor and Sailing vessels up to 24m. We can also produce Stability Information books when required. We are particularly conversant with the Codes, having been involved in their development and have worked with several sail training organisations.

CONDITION SURVEY (PURCHASE)
All reputable brokers recommend that it is in the interests of the purchaser to have a condition survey of the vessel carried out prior to completion of purchase. It is sound financial sense to expend the relatively small sum on a Condition Survey to determine the condition of the vessel. Following receipt of the report detailing defects found with recommendations for rectification, the purchaser may re-negotiate the purchase price or possibly withdraw from the contract depending on the magnitude of any "material defects".

CONDITION SURVEY (INSURANCE)
DMC&A carry out condition surveys for all the major marine underwriters, and our reports are accepted by those underwriters for insurance purposes.

VALUATION SURVEY
Marine Mortgage companies invariably require an examination of the vessel on which the loan is to be made, giving an assessment of valuation to safeguard their position. We have worked with all the major companies dealing with marine mortgages in the UK and some abroad and can offer a prompt and reliable service for vessels from tens of thousands to tens of millions.

DAMAGE SURVEY
DMC&A can inspect a vessel following an incident, offering an assessment of the damage, recommendations on repairs and investigations into the likely cost of repairs. This is a necessity to ensure that the value and safety of the vessel is not unduly affected by the damage sustained. Further visits during the repairs can be undertaken to check that the repair specification prepared is fully complied with.

TONNAGE MEASUREMENT SURVEY
In order to register a vessel a Tonnage Measurement is required and we can carry these out on vessels to 24m for UK and UK dependency registrations. We are also able to carry out tonnage surveys of larger vessels where no Classification Society surveyor is available.
