Commission a new design to suit your needs, from estuary/coastal based to long distance voyaging, or choose from a range of existing designs.

DMC&A can design for new construction in steel, GRP/FRP, aluminium alloy or wood construction and work to Classification Society Rules and other international and national regulations as necessary. We can undertake styling and interior design in house or work with your preferred designers.

Designs are executed in 3- and 2-D CAD and plate developments for NC cutting of metal plates can be provided.

Comprehensive discussions with the client are vital to arrive at a design which meets all requirements and will perform satisfactorily. The following reflects the normal train of events:

Preparation of a Design Study and Outline Specification

• Modifications to the design following further discussions
• Contract preparation
• Preparation of working drawings and design to enable an experienced yard to build the vessel.
• Issuing to tender and discussing prices submitted with the client
• Model Testing as required
• Preparation of detailed construction drawings
• Periodic inspections during build
• Attendance on trials, checking accounts and advising
