NEWBUILDING INSPECTION
To ensure that our client will take delivery of a
properly constructed vessel which conforms to the agreed
specifications and drawings we will periodically attend during the
build. Reports are sent to the client following each visit and any
defects and omissions found will be identified for subsequent
rectification. As the owners' technical representative we deal with
any matters arising during build which require a resolution. We will
coincide visits with stage payments due to ensure payments are made
only when the due work has been completed. |

ANNUAL REFIT
SURVEY
Many commercial vessel undergo regular refits both
for statutory requirements, MCA or possibly Classification Society
surveys. A qualified surveyor acting on behalf of the client to
attend during refits is both a necessary and valuable requirement to
ensure the work is properly effected. |

MCA COMPLIANCE SURVEYS
We are Certifying
Authority approved surveyors for craft up to 24m load line complying
with the various Codes of Practice. Part of the work in order to
provide compliance for the Code of Practice is to carry out a
condition examination and assessment of life safety equipment,
firefighting equipment and fire protection. |

CONDITION SURVEY FOR PURCHASE
All reputable
brokers recommend that it is in the interests of the purchaser to
have a condition survey of the vessel carried out prior to
completion of purchase. Clearly it makes sound financial sense
to expend a relatively small sum on the condition survey in relation
to the investment to determine the condition of the vessel.
The report and advice may be used to re-negotiate the price
following identification of material defects found following the
condition survey. With the potentially high usage of
commercial vessels, a thorough survey can be vital. |

CONDITION SURVEY FOR
INSURANCE
DMC&A carry out condition surveys which
enable all the major marine underwriters to assess risk. Our
reports are accepted by those underwriters for insurance purposes. |

VALUATION SURVEYS
Marine Mortgage companies invariably require an
examination of the vessel on which the loan is to be made, giving an
assessment of valuation to safeguard their position. We have worked
with all the major companies dealing with marine mortgages in the UK
and some abroad and can offer a prompt and reliable service. |

|
DAMAGE SURVEYS
DMC&A can inspect a vessel following an incident,
offering an assessment of the damage, recommendations on repairs and
investigations into the likely cost of repairs. This is a necessity
to ensure that the value and safety of the vessel is not unduly
affected by the damage sustained. Further visits during the repairs
can be undertaken to check that the repair specification prepared is
fully complied with. |
